Xiangzhou builds bridge between talents and enterprise

Updated: 2017-10-10 Print

Eight key Xiangzhou enterprises toured five comprehensive application-type institutions in North China from Sept 25 to 29 in hope of seeking outstanding students to expand their talent teams.

On the itinerary were Jilin University, Changchun University of Technology, Harbin Engineering University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Heilongjiang University; the institutions are leading research schools famous for rich education and faculty resources.

Gree Electric Appliances, a leading Chinese household electric appliances manufacturer; Sicoma Zhuhai, a company specialized in concrete mixing equipment; and lithium battery equipment developer Zhuhai Titans Technology took part in the networking events.

School-enterprise cooperation ties were enhanced with job-oriented training models in the planning process. Representatives from different parties shared opinions on the development of a long-term cooperation mechanism benefiting students as well as helping in the construction of schools.

On-campus job fairs were held during the event, attracting some 3,500 students intent on gaining employment at the Zhuhai-based companies, with more than 930 job-seekers signing working agreements.

The first half of this year has seen 21 universities added to Xiangzhou's talent training system from inside and outside Guangdong. The Xiangzhou government and the Organization Department of CPC Xiangzhou District Committee will deepen their connection by holding a large exchange meeting in November so that school leaders can take part in on-site inspection at enterprises and speak to managers in person.
