Zhuhai revs up cultural industrial development

Kimka Creative Valley, located in Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai, has qualified to become a provincial-level cultural industrial demonstration park, it was announced by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture at a workshop held on Sept 26.
There are another nine cultural projects from across the province entering the list.

Sponsored by the provincial culture department, more than 150 people took part in the workshop, among them government leaders, staff members from cultural industrial parks, and representatives of cultural industrial associations.
Wang Yiyang, secretary of the Party leadership group of Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture, and Long Guangyan, head of the Zhuhai publicity department were also present at the workshop and joined in to deliberate the future development layout of the South China province's cultural industry.
Wang Lingping, director of Zhuhai culture, sports and tourism bureau, shared the city's achievements and experiences in culture and creative industries with the guests.
Wang Yiyang gave a comprehensive analysis of Guangdong's cultural industry and pointed out its existing problems, adding that supply-side structural reform for the industry should be sped up with hi-tech information technologies used to promote integrated development.
