After receiving high acclaim with their intelligent portable charger for electric vehicles, Zhuhai Lcola Technology aims to make more efforts to facilitate the development of the electric vehicles industry.
Founded and headquartered in the Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai, Lcola has been engaged in proprietary R&D for electric vehicle charging technology since 2015.
After just one year, the company was honored by the China Electric Vehicle Charging Technology and Industry Alliance to compile industrial standards with other institutions.
The Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment & Operation Platform Communication Protocol Standards and China Electric Vehicle Charging Technology and Industry Alliance Charging Standards were both put into effect nationwide earlier this year.
The company has made constant improvements to their intelligent platform with a strong researching capacity. Lcola also specializes in the promotion of EV charging facilities, and the technical development of smart-vehicle identification and data security.
To further their efforts, Lcola will cooperate with its counterpart Potevio to build a test center for charging station management software, according to Li Xiang, general manager of Lcola.
"Only charging stations that pass our test can be put into use," said Li. "It will help set standards and help the sustainable development of the industry."
The company has core technology that helps consumers view the current charging status of a vehicle's battery and pay charging fees via a proprietary mobile app. To protect customer security when using the mobile app, the company is researching anti-counterfeiting identification technology to use on the QR codes connected with their online property accounts.
Apart from charging technology, Lcola is also striving to help consumers choose and purchase intelligent vehicles. The company is planning to build an online platform integrating the research, display and transaction of intelligent vehicles.
The company's ambition has won financial support from the market. By the end of September this year, the company will receive fund-raising of 300 million yuan ($44.1 million). Lcola will also launch another round of fund-raising for 600 million yuan before March next year.
