Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

An event was held in Xiangzhou to share knowledge about the practical uses of big data technology on July 20, attracting some 50 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the district.

Attendees were shown around the China Mobile in Zhuhai’s big data center to learn of the establishment of the data platform, operation and application.

The company's general manager Xiong Yong detailed how the technology has been put to use in their cooperation projects with more than 50 government departments and big businesses.

Sponsored by the district's Science, Technology, Industry, Trade and Information Technology Bureau, and the SME service center, the sharing activity aimed to lead to in-depth exchanges and experience studies between SMEs, entrepreneurs and big brands.

In future, representatives of local businesses will be given the opportunity to tour other successful enterprise examples beyond Zhuhai to learn more about big data usage, according to an official.
