Zhuhai outlined as print consumables trade hub

Zhuhai Recycling Times Culture Communication Co Ltd commenced construction of its Recycling Times (RT) Edifice at the Nanping Science & Technology Industrial Park in Zhuhai on July 11, aiming to build a world-class trade center for office facilities and print consumables.

Recycling Times is a Zhuhai-based company dedicated to the advance of the print supplies industry. It is also the sponsor of the annual RemaxWorld Expo, the world's largest print consumables exhibition.

It set the goal of promoting and enlarging the sector by establishing a building complex to function for the perennial exhibition in Zhuhai.

With a total investment of 600 million yuan ($88 million), the 11,720-sq-m edifice is located on Pingbei Road (No 2) in Xiangzhou District, taking up a floor space of 59,581 sq m while matched up with 5A-level river-view buildings and serviced apartments.

The construction of the Recycling Times (RT) Edifice commences on July 11 at the Nanping Science & Technology Industrial Park in Xiangzhou District. 

The building is scheduled to be completed and operational by 2019. By then, it will have an agglomerate effect on the course of the industrial upgrading in Zhuhai by attracting an estimate 300 printing-consumable enterprises around the globe.

The Nanping Science & Technology Industrial Park will be put at the core part of the trade center, according to the overall layout announced.

Meanwhile, Zhuhai is endeavoring to enhance its competitiveness in the global industrial chain by providing support in resources and platforms for local enterprises while facilitating the construction of Xiangzhou District as the National Printer Consumables Industry Famous Brand Demonstration Zone and the National-Level Quality and Safety Demonstration Zone of Exported Print Consumables.

Dubbed the Print Consumables Capital of the World, Zhuhai in Guangdong Province has developed a complete industrial chain including associated industries, owning more than 680 related enterprises with products exported to more than 120 countries and regions.

According to statistics, the city's print companies manufacture over 78.6 percent of universal color ribbons, 68.4 percent of compatible ink cartridges, and 40.1 percent of compatible toner cartridge in the global market.

Recycling Times' Chairman Li Guanglian said that Zhuhai's world-leading position has been recognized by the global industry. What is required next is to give full play to Zhuhai's industrial advantages especially in costs, logistics, and technology, making the city a trade hub. In addition, by way of integrating manufacturing and trading, connecting suppliers and buyers, the industry leader is destined to guide a new round of renovation of the industry in China.
