Summit facilitates cooperation between China and Israel

The 3rd China-Israel Investment Summit was held at the Zhuhai International Conference & Exhibition Center from June 27 to 28, attracting some 6,000 participants.
The two-day event is the largest science innovation investment summit for Israel in China. Enterprises from China and Israel showcased their latest achievements in scientific and technological innovations at the exhibition area covering about 5,000 square meters.

More than 2,700 Chinese and Israeli companies attended the summit, holding over 3,000 B2B meetings and signing deals valued at over $2.5 billion.
Huafa Group initiated a Sino-Israel innovation fund with SDIC Fund Management Co Ltd, a subsidiary of the State Development & Investment Corp at the opening ceremony of the summit.
The fund will be used to invest in high-tech companies in Israel and support major joint projects run by China and Israel. The first phase of the fund will hold 1 billion yuan ($146.74 million).
"We hope to attract more investment from Israel and facilitate cooperation between China and Israel," said Guo Jin, head of the investment section of Huafa Group.

The other 13 agreements signed at the opening ceremony are engaged in emerging business areas covering vehicular automation, internet finance, industrial applications, life sciences, artificial intelligence, robotics, big data, mobile information, clean energy, AR (augmented reality), VR (virtual reality) and the internet.
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and China Aviation Industry General Aircraft (CAIGA) will co-develop civil aircraft. Sino-Israeli Accelerator Industrial Park is to locate in the Zhuhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. Israel's Trendlines Group and Zhuhai Agricultural Investment Holdings Group will combine their efforts for an agri-tech incubator joint venture. Gree Electric Appliances will form an in-depth strategic partnership with Israel's Tadiran Group.
Li Dongsheng, chairman of the board of TCL Corp, announced a plan to bring more technology innovation projects to settle in Zhuhai's Hengqin New Area.
"The summit serves as a platform to integrate technology from the Israeli and Chinese markets, providing great opportunities for companies in Zhuhai and the Pearl River Delta as well," said Li.
