The Maker Station in Xiangzhou District has recently become Zhuhai's first provincial-level demonstration park thanks to its encouraging operation system, comprehensive services, and comfortable working environment.
The selection result was published last month, aiming to support and call for more such innovation hubs.
The station, opened in 2015, is located in the Qianshan core area.
Refurbished from old factories, the park is painted grey and red and made to look like a giant circuit board.
Focused on mobile internet and creative culture, the park is dedicated to developing Internet Plus, incubating projects and promoting e-business.
So far, 78 startups have settled at the park, occupying nearly 12,000 sq m, a third of its total area. Businesses involved cover culture, catering, information technology and art.
The park also features the 1,200-sq-m T Maker Space, a co-working unit which can cater for a maximum of 2,000 staff members. It provides a good platform for people from different walks of lives to share and work together.
According to the park's manager, they don't charge any fees, and startups can be helped with company registration for free and apply for project subsidies. A venture capital fund has also been provided to access investment.
