Sino-Israel summit to promote sci-tech business

The 3rd China-Israel Investment Summit, to be held in Zhuhai from June 27 to 28, is expected to garner 11 deals sealed worth more than $2.5 billion, it was announced at a press briefing on June 20.
The latest preparations for the eight major activities, such as keynote speeches and panel discussions, were detailed for what is the largest science innovation investment summit of Israel in China.

High-tech companies attracted from home and abroad
The summit will take place at Zhuhai's International Conference & Exhibition Center drawing in more than 6,000 participants. A total of 215 representatives from 130 Israeli enterprises in eight emerging business areas covering vehicular automation technology, internet finance, industrial application, life sciences, artificial intelligence, robots, and big data will take part.
A total of 2,726 Chinese innovative enterprises, financial institutions, and investment organizations have registered to attend, making the grand event a brand for pragmatic bilateral partnership. It will also mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Israel.
A 5,000-sq-m hall will be divided into three zones respectively for domestic cities, Israel and enterprises, and has been arranged to display the latest innovations in science and technology from both countries.
Zhuhai, together with Guangzhou, Harbin, Dongguan, Changzhou, Dalian and Yangjiang will showcase their innovation achievements as well as favorable business environment. More than 200 enterprises will have stalls at the enterprise exhibition area while the Israel-exclusive area will display 112 local Israeli enterprises.
There will be a signing and unveiling ceremony on the opening day with 11 projects confirmed, according to organizing committee. For example, Huafa Group, a giant state-owned enterprise in Zhuhai will integrate available resources and platforms to initiate a Sino-Israeli innovation fund project, partnering with SDIC Fund Management Co Ltd, a subsidiary of State Development & Investment Corporation
Business cooperation opportunities provided
A range of activities will be organized to strengthen business exchanges and technology sharing, which include investment environment promotion events for demonstration cities in China-Israel cooperation, Israeli enterprises’ roadshows, a sci-tech innovation exhibition for both countries, and investment tours to Zhuhai.
A special event will be held to display the most cutting-edge sci-tech innovations from Mobileye, a global leader in the development of vision technology for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS); Rewalk, renown manufacturer of exoskeleton system and world-famous 3D printers manufacturer Stratasys.
B2B meetings will also be held during which enterprises and investors will be able to obtain face-to-face business discussing opportunities. They will be networked upon industry types.
It is also confirmed that many of the heads of the leading enterprises will attend the summit. They include Gree president Dong Mingzhu, Xiaomi CEO Leijun, Li Dongsheng, Rewalk's CEO Larry Jasinki, and other heavyweight business leaders, investors, and scholars.
Novel symbol designed to feature theme
"INNONATION", a compound word integrating "innovation" and "nation" is expected to become a catch-phrase among the many visitors. The "INNO" is painted red with "NATION" in blue, a use of color to extend good wishes between China and Israel.
According to the organizer Huafa Group, it was inspired by Amir Gal Or, founder of Infinity Group and has been registered as the summit's special mark.
