Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

The Development and Reform Commission of Guangdong published on June 4 a list of projects to obtain provincial support in terms of promoting the integration of cultural, creative, and design services as well as related industries.

The list includes 74 projects on industrial parks or bases, public service platforms, and those focused on integrated development.

Among them are the Creative Culture City, an industrial design center of Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances, and a courtyard-featured leisure attraction, totaling 2.8 billion yuan ($ 407.5 billion) in investment. All under construction in Zhuhai, they are expected to finish soon backed by strong government support.

The construction of Creative Culture City in Hengqin by Hong Kong's Lai Sun Group commenced in 2013, and is hoped to become a cultural creative community based on the development of video and music production, training, leisure as well as conventions and exhibitions. 

The list has been updated in accordance with Guangdong's related action plan from 2015 to 2020, and based on project implementations and statistics of newly added projects.
