Zhuhai, Guangdong province will hold the 3rd China-Israel Investment Summit, the largest investment event in innovative science and technology between the two countries, from June 27 to 28.

A large number of investors and government representatives will attend the event.

More than 2,000 business leaders have been invited, with over 1,000 registered so far. Among them are 200 executives of 100 top Israeli hi-tech enterprises in such emerging fields as automotive technology, artificial intelligence, big data, mobile information, internet finance, industrial application, and biotechnology. Most of them as industry leaders are masters of core technologies, and are coming to scout business opportunities at one-to-one B2B project networking events, product exhibitions and other brand activities.

An important platform to promote Sino-Israel economic and enterprise cooperation, the summit was held two times last year in Beijing and Tel Aviv and nailed down letters of intent worth several billion US dollors. It has proved beneficial to both sides to seek pragmatic bilateral partnership.

The summit has even been regarded as key to carrying out the messages of the countries' respective heads of state as well as to promoting "innovative comprehensive partnership". It was included in the Three-Year Action Plan for China-Israel Intergovernmental Mechanism of Economic and Technological Cooperation signed in March between the National Development and Reform Commission and Israel's Prime Minister's Office.

Zhuhai government officials have said that it is important to hold the investment summit in response to the national Belt and Road Initiative. It is helpful to realize the potential for Sino-Israeli cooperation by strengthening business ties in science and technology and promoting consensus in more fields.

It also helps Zhuhai to attract more international high-end innovative resources conductive to the implementation of the city's innovation-driven and opening-up development strategy. Moreover, it will play a big part in establishing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as an important innovation cluster.

The event will be sponsored by the International Cooperation Center of NDRC, the Israeli Embassy in China, the Consulate General of Israel in Guangzhou, the Development and Reform Commission of Guangdong Province, the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, and the People's Government of Zhuhai, and will be organized by Zhuhai Huafa Group and Infinity Group.
