Events held to help job seekers

Xiangzhou organized a month-long series of job fairs, training sessions, and lectures from April 25 to May 25, to help graduates and the unemployed find work in the district.

Xiangzhou's federation of trade unions, human resources center, and human resources and social security bureau held job fairs in Nanwan area and Xiangzhou District on April 26.
Some 1,400 attended the events which had more than 1,790 jobs up for grabs, offered by 68 Zhuhai enterprises such as Gree Electric Appliances and Zhuhai Apex Technology. Jobs on offer included roles as human resources managers, medical workers, and house cleaners. Nearly 44.4 percent of all attendees signed preliminary work contracts.

Public lectures to raise legal awareness and promote mental health were also held. The training sessions will be based on the needs of those that apply, and so far include subjects such as e-commerce, baking, and coffee and cocktail making.
