Hengqin Bay Water Park opened on April 22 with indoor and outdoor water-dabbling areas and advanced facilities. Guests can have fun in the swimming, surfing, massage and even dolphin pools.

Hengqin Mangzhou Wetland Park

Hengqin Mangzhou Wetland Park is located at the northwest of the Hengqin New Area. Covering about 66 hectares, the 150 million yuan ($22 million) park encompasses ecological publicity, wetland conservation, wetland ecology exhibition, wetland leisure experience, seawall original ecological plant viewing, and management service zones.

The park also has the first marine ecological restoration exhibition hall in Guangdong Province. The 2,000-sq-m base is a venue for science and ecological education. With ocean, wetland environment experience, and bird display sections, it showcases Hengqin's marine ecological restoration achievements.

New Yuanming Palace Lost City Water Park

Dates: April 26 onward 

New Yuanming Palace Lost City re-opened on April 26. A bikini party, music show, water carnival, and interactive magic show promise to delight tourists. Each afternoon from 2:30 to 3 there will be clown, bubble, and magic performances.

Agricultural Paradise

1. Animal Festival
Schedule: 9 am to 5:30 pm from April 29 to May 1

Activities include an animal exhibition, dog performance, pet catwalk show, Nujiang Dulong Cattle & Animal Charity Auction, and Animal Sports Meet. Children under 1.2-m tall and those 70 and older get free admission.

2. Light Festival

Schedule: 5:30-11 pm from April 28 to June 4

Brand-new light sculptures such as the Romantic Pumpkin Carriage, Cinderella's Crystal Shoes, Angel Wings, Beacon, and Football will be formed by LED sets over a length of 20,000 m. Children under 1.2 m and those over 70 can enter free.

Meixi Royal Stone Archways

Date: May 1

Everyone gets a 20-percent-off discount on May 1 at the Meixi Royal Stone Archways. The elderly, children, students, soldiers, and physically challenged all qualify for half-price tickets.

There will be a grand opening ceremony for a carnival in the Mysterious Island Amusement Park. On tap are impassioned music and dynamic dances, Brazilian Samba Parades, Wild Maori performances, and Venetian Mask Shows.

3. Venetian Mask Parade

Schedule: 5:30 pm from April 29 to May 1

Along with vigorous marching music, performers in gorgeous European-style court clothing will parade from the hotel lobby to Fisherman's Wharf, making close contact with those along the route.

4. Music & Fireworks Show at Gala Night

Schedule: 9:45 pm on April 29 and 30; 9:10 pm on May 1

As night falls, a wonderful show of music and fireworks will offer excitement along with beers and snacks.

More than 70 booths with local specialty snacks and products will be available at Anti-British Invasion Square, while the Zhaozheng Memorial Square will host exhibits and sales of creative art crafts while traditional performances are staged.

Golden Beach Campfire Party

A traditional cultural show, college art performances, and parent-child beach games will be held on Golden Beach. Those with scenic spot tickets can participate for free.

Huatian Water Village Ecological Park

The activity is sponsored by the Jinwan District Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau. Four types of martial arts will be set in the championship, which will comprise individual and duel items on shadow and weapons boxing.
