Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Zhuhai's largest public project incubation base was recently opened in Xiangzhou District, complete with three parks for local sci-tech projects in various process stages.

Covering 10,734 sq m, the base consists of a makerspace for university pioneers and a demonstration zone for growing or new projects launched by returned Chinese students. The base also includes a park aimed to accelerate comparatively mature projects.

According to Zhuhai's human resources and employment service center, the base is able to cultivate 200 projects at the same time, without charging rent in the first two years.  

Projects in the fields of electronic information, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing are given priority at the base, and are provided with office facilities, internet and training. Project teams can also enjoy integrated legal services, accounting and corporate management consultancies, as well as investment attraction.

The base will also benefit entrepreneurs by giving financial support such as insurance and rental subsidies.

It is demanded that all projects have comprehensive plans and a team.  If having no funds, project leaders should present feasible financing or loan schemes. It also should be less than three years since startups were registered.

Any outstanding project can apply for a one-year extension to continue enjoying the advantageous conditions.

The base is co-built by the Guangdong Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Zhuhai Government.
