Zhuhai shows advanced info-tech products in Shenzhen

Zhuhai has stolen the limelight at the China Information Technology Expo (CITE) 2017, China's only state-level platform to display new generation information technology, which opened in Shenzhen, Guangdong on April 9.
The event showcased the latest technologies, products and applications as Asia's largest comprehensive expo in the field of electronic information.
The over 100,000-sq-m-exhibition hall was equipped with various sized stalls, displaying more than 1,700 leading enterprises' technology products.
The Zhuhai exhibitioner group comprising Zhuhai Kingsoft Office Software, ABB Robotics (Zhuhai) and Xiangzhou-based key enterprises showed off their advanced achievements in frontier fields such as 3D printing, big data and artificial intelligence.

Zhuhai Gree Intelligent Equipment situated in Xiangzhou District specializes in the core technology of industrial automation and has a strong R&D capacity. Its Robot 608s uses a laser tracker to automatically search welds and trigger the running of the equipped digital welding machine. It has been currently applied in the welding of air-conditioner structural components and auto spare parts
"Thanks to the strategy of carrying out innovation-driven development, our city has formed a fundamental framework of a modern industry system," according to the Science, Industry & Information Technology Bureau of Zhuhai.
Last year, enterprises above the designated size for the electronic information manufacturing industry contributed 98 billion yuan ($14.2 billion) in sales volume, accounting for 22.5 percent of the city's total industrial output value. Among them, companies focused on new generation info-tech realized 77.2 billion yuan ($11.2 billion) in production value, up 13 percent year-on-year.
The expo is organized annually by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Shenzhen government at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center since 2013.
