Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

A symposium was held in Zhuhai's Xiangzhou district on March 29 to facilitate the establishment of the new Zhuhai Chinese-German Artificial Intelligence Research Institute.

Officials from the Xiangzhou Investment Promotion Service Center and the Xiangzhou Administration for Industry and Commerce attended the meeting to discuss work and support for the research institute.

The Xiangzhou district, together with the German Artificial Intelligence Research Center and Zhuhai-based 4DAGE, announced the creation of the Zhuhai Chinese-German Artificial Intelligence Research Institute at Made in China 2025 and the Artificial Intelligence International Conference held last August.

The research institute aims to attract more talent and artificial intelligence projects to provide more technology transfers in the fields of medical services, intelligent manufacturing and self-driving vehicles.  

The Zhuhai city government approved to grant support funds to the research institute last month. The research institute, in return, pledges to serve the upgrade of industrial structures in the city.
