Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

The vice-president of the Zhuhai Charity Federation awarded the Sicoma Scholarship to 319 students from Guangchang Primary School of Xiangzhou District, granting a total of 74,950 yuan ($10,861) to the students on March 16. 

The biannual scholarship was co-established in 2005 by the Zhuhai Charity Federation and Sicoma Zhuhai, a Sino-foreign joint venture established in 2002 that dedicated to developing, manufacturing, marketing and serving high quality mixing equipment.

With a commitment to social development, Sicoma Zhuhai has been supporting Xiangzhou's charitable undertakings. So far, 3,646 students have received funds. Over 13 years, Sicoma has donated a total of 11.7 million ($1.7 million) for such public welfare programs.

Dai Yanping, president of Guangchang Primary School said that the incentives have greatly motivated their students.

"Education stands for hope of a country's future. We really hope our business growth can benefit the area nearby," Xi Junfeng, general manager of Sicoma.
