Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Xiangzhou held a spring-themed poem recitation in the Meihua Urban Garden on March 11, marking the beginning of a year-long culture and arts series in Xiangzhou.

The poem recitation was divided into four chronological sections, from "early spring" to "spring in full swing". Famous poets were invited to read their works aloud with active audience interaction.

The activity was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Xiangzhou District Committee, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Xiangzhou District, and the Xiangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles. 

It is the second time for Xiangzhou to open the year round public activity series, featuring paintings in summer, dancing in autumn and songs in winter.

This year's spring activities will also include a series of poem recitation competitions, as well as exchanges and study about Su Manshu (1884-1918), a famous local literary genius and patriotic poet.
