The construction of the Haiwan Primary School and Meihua Middle School are currently underway in Xiangzhou. The Zhuhai city district is also currently constructing six additional schools to provide a greater ease of access to education for the city's youth.

The Xiangzhou District has played an important role in Zhuhai's educational advancement, and has served as a demonstration zone for universalizing a nine-year compulsory education program to further the literacy rate among young and middle aged adults.

Due to the rising number of school-aged children, Xiangzhou has built or expanded schools annually to ensure enough accommodation for the district's youth.
