A total of 83 junior students from Zhuhai Technician College in the Xiangzhou District will spend half a term on the production lines at Zhuhai Gree Intelligent Equipment for practical experience between March 1 and June 16.

Specializing in intelligent equipment R&D, manufacturing and sales, the company has an edge in industrial robots, numerically-controlled machine tools, and logistics storage. It is focused on building a world-class intelligent equipment manufacturing base, and is currently seeking new vitality from famous universities and technician schools.

Zhuhai Technician College is a state-level key technician school, and a high-skilled talent training demonstration base in Guangdong province. Gree signed an agreement with the college on Feb 13 for a long-time cooperation in talent cultivation and transference.

Students majoring in the installment and repair of electric automation equipment will be given an opportunity to apply what they have learned at school through on-site practice.

Positions provided at the company include machine assembly, automatic production line testing and electric control system installation. Students will be grouped and will learn wiring, how to reading schematics and fix electronic components under the coaching of experienced workers.

To motivate students and keep talents, Gree Intelligent Equipment plans to establish scholarships providing incentives to those with good performance.

Recruitment has long been high on the Xiangzhou government's agenda, with a series of activities organized to promote enterprise-school cooperation last year. More local students have since been given opportunities to gain practical experiences, and tailored classes have been opened for key enterprises.
