Ports in Zhuhai processed more than 246,000 inbound and outbound passengers over the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, a 9 percent increase year-on-year. Green channels, efficient policing, and emergency systems ensured safe travel for all.

Gongbei Port, Hengqin Port, and Jiuzhou Port are still the main passenger ports for entry and exit. Gongbei Port had a traffic peak of more than 350,000 passengers on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. Hengqin Port broke the record for daily passenger flow in succession from the third day to the fifth day of the first lunar month.

Pleasant weather in Guangdong attracted flocks of visitors, of which about 60 percent were from the Chinese mainland, arriving mainly to shop in Hong Kong and Macao. The number of these mainland travelers was 17.7 percent more than that during the same period last year.

Tourists from Hong Kong and Macao transiting through Zhuhai ports accounted for 37 percent of the total passenger flow. Visitor numbers increased 4.6 percent on the same period a year earlier.

Zhuhai General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection made arrangements to ensure safe and secure passenger flow during peak times. Based on traffic forecasting, security and safety arrangements at different periods were made to ensure safe and orderly work during the festival.
