Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Several foreign experts considering basing their projects in Xiangzhou visited the district on Jan 19, after attending an investment promotion event held in Zhuhai in December last year.

Dr. Long Kam from Korean Yonsei University specializes in molecular cell biology which looks at cells absorbing external nutrients and internal signal transduction.

His latest project on cytobiology presented at the investment event last year is considered of innovation and commercial value by the Xiangzhou government.

Long and his partners toured some of Xiangzhou's venture capital firms and the Zhuhai Tsinghua Innovation Incubator. They were also detailed the district's favorable policies and business environment.

Another of the experts, Dr. He Guoqiang from the University of California Santa Cruz, is developing technology to use waste water to make rechargeable batteries. He showed interest in cooperating with Xiangzhou. Detailed issues are under discussion.
