Winter jasmines proved popular among buyers wishing to spruce up their homes in time for the festival, and symbolizing hope and good fortune for the year ahead.
Poinsettia and chrysanthemum were some of the more affordable options at the fair, with butterfly orchid occupying the other end of the scale, selling from 50 yuan ($7.2) to 60 yuan ($8.7) per bouquet.
A boat-shaped arrangement of 22 butterfly orchids cost 1,000 yuan ($146). The flowers were made to represent smooth sailing in the New Year.
