Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Zhuhai's Xiangzhou District has been taking the initiative to build strong relationships with important local businesses in strategic industries in recent years, and that effort continued on Jan 9 when a group of local officials met with representatives from leading tech company Zhuhai Jieli Technology.

The district's top Party and government officials, Xiangzhou CPC District Committee Secretary Yan Haobo and Xiangzhou District Chief Executive Liu Qiying, both attended the meeting with Jieli Technology CEO Wang Yihui, during which Wang gave an overview of his company's development during the last year.

The enterprise, established in 2010, is a rapidly growing information technology company that focuses on designing integrated circuits for use in fields as varied as industrial control, health monitoring and smart home control. The company generated 600 million yuan ($88 million) of revenue last year.

Wang also outlined a detailed plan for the Jieli's future development, and expressed his hope that the company would continue to receive the strong support of the Xiangzhou government.

The officials acknowledged the achievements the company has made, praising its good performance in research and development and market positioning. High-end information technology is a key strategic industry in Xiangzhou, they added, expressing the hope that Jieli's success can help to attract more enterprises from the industry to set up in the district.

The Xiangzhou government also promised to fully support Jieli's growth by providing comprehensive services.
