Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Approximately 60,000 migrant workers at the Nanping Science and Technology Industrial Park in Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai can now enjoy free educational resources at a specially set up college, which opened on Jan 10.

The college, located and based at the park, is first of its kind in Zhuhai, providing free online and offline classes for migrant workers.

In cooperation with Zhuhai Radio & TV University, workers can listen to experienced university professors and receive operative coaching provided by senior technicians from local enterprises. 

Those attending the lessons can sign up and apply for the university's designated system to get credits, which can greatly benefit their further education and career development. 

The Nanping Sci-tech Industrial Park is a national high-tech park, home to 621 companies specializing in family appliance manufacturing, digital information and printing materials. Among the enterprises, six are listed among the Fortune Global 500.

As the most concentrated hub of economic benefit and talent in Zhuhai, the improvement of the quality of human resources in the park has been set as a high priority on the agendas of the Xiangzhou government and the Xiangzhou District Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, Zhuhai Municipality.
