Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Leading hi-tech enterprise Youcare Pharmaceutical visited Xiangzhou on Nov 18, after announcing its plans to extend its medical cooperation by building an R&D center in the district.

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Beijing, Youcare is a diversified pharmaceutical company integrating new drug R&D, manufacturing, distribution and marketing.

Owning a raw materials base in Anhui Province and four major manufacturing bases in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing, the enterprise has risen rapidly, listed on China's Top 100 Pharmaceutical Companies from 2008 to 2012 and honored Top 10 in R&D in 2012. 

Taking advantage of favorable government policies, Youcare has developed its pharmaceutical and biotechnology bases located in Xiangzhou into key high-tech enterprises.

Youcare's decision to build an R&D center and biomedicine incubator in Xiangzhou was made on Nov 11 during which Liu Qiying, Xiangzhou District's chief executive, visited Youcare to attract further investment. 

Yu Shiwei, chairman of the board of Youcare said Xiangzhou's development looks bright, with the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in the future, and expressed his willingness to make use of South China's talent and pharmaceutical industry resources.
