Xiangzhou closer in cultural ties with US

In an effort to see more cooperation with the US, Zhuhai's Xiangzhou District received a delegation from the China-US International Cultural Exchange Association on Nov 2-3.

During the two-day visit, the delegation members were impressed by the pleasant environment and the international influence embodied at the Airshow China 2016, which opened on Nov 1.
The affiliation between the two parties promises to serve as a bridge of economic, cultural and educational cooperation, and contributes to the friendship and common development of both sides, said Li Shaolan, president of the association.
The delegation spoke highly of the progress in education made by Zhuhai when they saw the fully-equipped facilities and rich courses provided by the Xiangzhou District No. 21 Primary School. They also viewed an art exhibition, Kung Fu training and dance performance organized by the students.

Alisa MacAvoy, president of Redwood City Elementary Board of Trustees in California, was interested in the distinctive education and offered some suggestions on the curricula and education ideas.
The China-US International Cultural Exchange Association was established in November 2013. It aims to promote understanding and cooperation between China and the US through various professional exchange programs, and serves as a bridge in social and cultural, educational, medical and trade cooperation, so as to promote economic cooperation and friendship, as well as achieve long-term common interests between the two countries.
