Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Zhuhai's Xiangzhou District held a networking event on Oct 28 to link up talented individuals from universities and colleges with major companies in the area.

Representatives from 42 major enterprises and 58 colleges and universities from across China gathered in the Nanping Science and Technology Industrial Park to discuss ways of cultivating highly-skilled graduates for enterprises.

Companies advertised their latest job openings and remuneration packages at the meeting, while colleges and universities outlined the skills and techniques students learned at school, and their job expectations.

Education providers signed agreements with leading tech companies, such as Ganzhou Institute of Technology from Jiangxi province and Zhuhai Seine Technology agreed to establish a practice base for cultivating and introducing talents. The deal was also made between Zhaoqing Technician Institute and Zhuhai Runxingtai Electronic.

It is the third time Xiangzhou District has held the networking event, which authorities say are part of a series of recruitment events to connect talents and enterprises. Over the past two years, more than 2,100 technical talents have been introduced to leading local companies including Zhuhai Seine Technology, Gree Electric Appliances and Eastcompeace Technology.
