Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

The very best of Zhuhai's creative and innovative startups in education, healthcare, and media took center stage in Xiangzhou District on Oct 18, for the final round of the third Entrepreneurship Competition for College Students.

A total of 10 teams made up of students from local institutes including Jinan University, Zhuhai Campus, Beijing Institute of Technology Zhuhai and Zhuhai College of Jilin University took part in the final in the hope to lure investment for their projects. 

The contestants delivered detailed speeches and specific plans for their projects. A panel of expert judges scored each project based on their presentations and replies to difficult questions.

The final round winner was Haixueyou New Media Education Technology.

One of the highlights of the contest was the idea to build a fashionable canteen which integrates Internet and high-tech resources. 

All the finalists were offered support in terms of grants, subsidies and professional guidance from the district's business incubator, which was recently upgraded to a municipal level.

The event aimed to discover students' entrepreneurial talents and set up a bridge between startups and enterprises.
