Inno Valley HQ provided Zhuhai’s only exhibition, an extremely sensitive explosives detector, at the 2nd National Mass Entrepreneurship & Innovation Week which opened in Shenzhen on Oct 12.

Standing out among the 160 selected projects from more than 3,000, Inno Valley HQ, also known as Macao-Hengqin Youth Entrepreneurship Valley, showcased the explosive trace detector (ETD) developed by Zhuhai Splendor Science & Technology. Displayed in the New Model Exhibition Zone, the ETD detection range extends to a low of 0.003 nanograms of TNT, while those from the US can only detect amounts of 2 nanograms and more.

Inno Valley HQ, located in the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone on Hengqin Island, has attracted 160 vibrant startup projects. They have attracted gross registered capital over 400 million yuan ($59.5 million) since the tri-region entrepreneurial zone came into being last June. It has become a state-level hacker space and high-tech business incubator, receiving broad-based praise from government departments in terms of incubation site, operation mechanism, service pattern, and incubation capability.

Up to now, Inno Valley has imported five batches of enterprises with 36 about to enter the second phase. The total number of projects in incubation is 104 -- with nearly 80 percent from Hong Kong and Macao. Fifteen have received financing exceeding 100 million yuan ($14.9 million).

This year’s exhibition activities will last until Oct 18 with a theme of Develop New Economy, Cultivate New Energy and a mainline of New Concept, New Pattern, New Industry & New Achievement. According to the National Development & Reform Commission, ministries and commissions both in Shenzhen and Beijing will host forums to share industry pioneering experience, lectures on e-commerce, and promotional events for Internet Plus innovation projects.
