Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

The Xiangzhou District government recently signed letters of intent on four key projects aimed at developing its advanced equipment manufacturing industry.

The agreements were reached at an investment promotion event held in Foshan as part of the 2nd Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Investment and Trade Symposium -- West of the Pearl River (AEME) from Sept 28 to 30.

Five companies were involved in the projects, including Zhuhai Apex Technology and Zhuhai Titans Technology.

More than 30 key enterprises from Xiangzhou attended the symposium to tour exhibitions and take part in networking events, as well as trade and investment talks. Among the companies in attendance were Feima Transmission Machinery and visual effects company Zhuhai 4D Age Technology.

A total of 220 cooperative agreements were signed at AEME, accounting for 230 billion yuan ($34.6 billion) of investment. Some 300 companies attended the event, which aimed to highlight the latest developments in advanced equipment manufacturing and promote investment in the industry. The event covered areas west of the Pearl River and encompassed seven cities and a district.
