Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

A championship bartender competition was held in Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai on Sept 25, where 34 participants were challenged to make the best and most creative coffee and cocktail.

Finalists, who had already passed two preliminary rounds, were required to make four cups of cappuccino, two glasses of gin-based Singapore Sling, and two creative cocktails using their own secret recipes.

Seven professionals were invited to grade the drinks based on appearance, taste, and creativity.

Judges comment on and grade the concoctions.

Chen Zhihui came out on top, with Zou Jianmin and Huang Chuting taking the second and third places respectively.

The conclusion of the contest brought an end to a series of vocational skills competitions in baking, pediatric care, and geriatric nursery, where 122 participants battled it out from a total of 235 entries and were awarded with certifications. The six best were named “Zhuhai Technical Experts”.

The events organized by the Xiangzhou government, were open to the public, and aimed to cultivate more talented people to satisfy an increasing demand for these skills.
