The Zhuhai People's Hospital is in a nice environment located in downtown Zhuhai, with the beautiful Fengbo Hill to the north and the charming Xianglu Bay to the south. Thanks to a convenient transportation network, the hospital is only a 15-minute drive from many parts of Zhuhai’s urban area.

Founded in the 1950s, the hospital is now committed to medical care, education, scientific research, preventative medicine, and healthcare services. It is Zhuhai's only Class-A level comprehensive hospital, as designated by China’s national health authority.

The hospital has 1,350 clinical beds. Among its 1,550 medical professionals, 300 hold senior qualifications, 470 hold intermediate qualifications, 20 have a PhD degree, 261 have a master's degree, 31 tutor master’s students and three tutor doctoral students. 

It also has nearly 20 professionals serving as heads of municipal societies of disciplines covering pediatrics, orthopedics, hemopathy, neurosurgery, neurology, urology, intensive care medicine, anesthesiology, and laboratory medicine. 

Being one of the most important clinical, educational, and research bases in Zhuhai, the hospital has set up four teaching and research offices in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and pediatrics.

Moreover, the hospital hosts Zhuhai’s center for interventional diagnosis and treatment, as well as a precision medical research center in a joint effort with the University of Macao. 

Also, it has seven specialties listed among Guangdong Province’s key clinical specialties: intensive care medicine, clinical care, otorhinolaryngology, urology, laboratory medicine, ophthalmology, and pediatrics. The hospital’s otorhinolaryngology department — specializing in the ears, nose, and throat — has been recognized as a provincial-level outstanding specialty, while cardiovascular medicine, orthopedics, respiratory medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery and gynecology are among Zhuhai’s key medical disciplines.

The hospital has set up more than 40 clinical specialties, including respiratory medicine, cardiovascular medicine, general surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery, as well as departments that assist with diagnosis and treatment, such as laboratory and radiology departments. 

Meanwhile, it provides preventative care, health check-ups, vaccinations, VIP clinic service, a home-style ward, and other healthcare services. Some of the hospital’s large medical equipment include128-slice Dual Source CT, 64-slice PET/CT, MRI, ECT and DSA scanners, with their value totaling about 300 million yuan ($44.98 million).
