Xiangwan Community Healthcare Center was founded in April 1965 and is now a comprehensive primary medical and health care services hospital.

Located at No. 65 Chaoyang Road, Xiangzhou District, the center is under the jurisdiction of the Xiangwan Sub-district Office that consists of eight community resident committees and administers a population of 48,482 residents in an area of about six square kilometers.

One of the first employee’s medical insurance designated hospitals in Zhuhai, the center has a floor area of 3,100 square meters for medical care use. It was approved as a national and provincial model community health service center in December 2012.

There are 81 staff members working in the hospital, including 10 with senior professional titles, 24 medium professional titles, and 31 primary professional titles. The center has 13 registered general practitioners and seven community nurses.

Its outpatient departments and other departments include general practice, general Chinese medicine, ENT, dentistry, clinical laboratory, radiology, electrocardiogram, type-B ultrasonography, Chinese and Western pharmacies, preventive health care, community management, and logistics management.

Targeted at community, family and residents, the center provides basic public health services and medical care for general common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases. Its main tasks include community disease prevention, health care, medical care, rehabilitation, health education, family planning, and other approved community health services.

Specifically, it establishes resident health records, carries out health education, conducts vaccinations, infectious disease reports, child care, maternal health, elderly health care, chronic disease management, and severe mental illness management, as well as provides basic medical services for general common disease and offers Chinese medicine services.
