Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Officials from Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai held talks with US-based Advanced Cerametrics Inc (ACI) on Sept 20-21, hoping to bring about investment exchanges in the future.

Located in Ohio and established in 1947, ACI is a manufacturer of ceramic products including a number of specialty materials such as high-temperature-resistant ceramic fibers. It also provides various solutions for harvesting power for micro-circuits as well as active vibration control.

Farhad Mohammadi, CEO and CTO of ACI toured Xiangzhou, including some of its venture investment institutions, guided by staff from the Investment Promotion Service Centre of Xiangzhou District.

After gaining insights into the business environment of the district, Mohammadi attended a meeting where he learnt more about Xiangzhou’s policies to support startups and pioneers.

Mohammadi said that ACI’s products, advanced in industry, have good market prospects in China. He said Xiangzhou left him with a good impression and he hoped to cement closer ties with the district by promoting business cooperation. More efforts will be made to facilitate in-depth communication between ACI and venture capitalists in the future.
