Shenzhen Association of Trade in Services and officials from Xiangzhou District, the largest district in the southern Guangdong Province city of Zhuhai, confirmed a cooperation agreement to share business opportunities with each other on Sept 12.
The agreement was announced during an investment conference which was hosted by Xiangzhou District’s Deputy Chief Huang Jun and attended by more than 60 Shenzhen enterprises.
Members of Shenzhen Association of Trade in Services at the meeting, including Shenzhen Sanma Electrical Appliance, Shenzhen Yingli New Energy Resources and battery manufacturer Highpower International, welcomed the announcement and expressed their hopes for deeper cooperation with Xiangzhou.

Xie Xiaobiao, executive president of the association, also acknowledged Xiangzhou’s greater role as a window to the outside world since the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the only land route linking the Chinese mainland with its two special administrative regions, and the new free trade zone in Hengqin.
The completion of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor highway connecting Shenzhen with the western Pearl River Delta region will further strengthen Xiangzhou’s importance, Xie added.
Staff from Xiangzhou’s investment promotion service center then introduced the district’s favorable policies promoting trade, new businesses and high-tech industries.
The next day, the visitors from Shenzhen were given a tour of Xiangzhou, including site visits to the Gemdale Power Port and Nanping Science and Technology Industrial Park.
