The nail-biting final of a basketball competition for businesses from Nanping Science and Technology Industry Park in Xiangzhou District, came down to the wire on Sept 13, as the team from VTR Bio-Tech defeated Gree Electric Appliances’ team by a single point.

A foul on the buzzer sent a player from defending champions VTR Bio-Tech to the line to shoot free throws, snatching victory from the claws of defeat in the final moment.

The 13-day-long competition saw 20 teams from the industry park, such as Zhuguang Auto and Seine Technology, compete through 60 fierce rounds.

The competition is part of a wider enterprise culture festival, which includes music and theater performances, aimed at enriching the lives of workers at the park.
