Top Israeli consular officials paid a visit to Zhuhai Gree Intelligent Equipment on Sept 12, to take part in exchanges aimed at furthering cooperation on new and high-tech.

Israeli Consul Noa Heinemann and Commercial Officer Maya Asher from the Department of Economic Affairs of Consulate General of Israel in Guangzhou, toured the Xiangzhou base of the major Chinese manufacturer of electric appliances.

New and high technology in terms of electronics, communications, software, medical devices and biotech occupies about 12.5 percent of Israel’s gross domestic product (GDP). Global giants such as Apple, Google and Intel have allcooperated with Israel in purchasing some of itscore technologies.

Zhuhai Gree Intelligent Equipment, located at Xiangzhou District of Zhuhai is a subsidiary of Gree Group, an international air conditioning enterprise.

Noa and Maya were showed around the company to experience the innovative atmosphere. The company is expected to give birth to more achievements in cooperation with Israel, especially in artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

The visit was arranged by the Investment Promotion Service Centre of Xiangzhou District to promote deep cooperation in cutting-edge technology.
