Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

A total of 105 doctoral students and postgraduates were introduced to more than 50 famous enterprises in a government-sponsored exchange activity held in Xiangzhou on Aug 30.

The large-scale event, which was aimed at finding high-end talents, is the first of its kind in Xiangzhou District and Zhuhai. More than 20 major universities including Zhejiang University, Xi'an Jiaotong University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology sent representatives to seek out cooperation on job opportunities.

Students met with staff from leading enterprises such as Chinese appliance manufacturer, Gree, and Zhuhai Seine Technology, a large manufacturer of printer products. Different majors were arranged to meet different companies, which were selected based on recruitment and employment surveys.

Students are introduced about Xiangzhou and Zhuhai’s favorable locations.

Entrepreneurs from were invited to share their experiences and answer questions.

The day before, the government showed the teachers and students around Xiangzhou and Zhuhai especially the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, to tell them more about the development climate and livable environment. Xiangzhou’s policies related to talents, startups and innovation were also introduced.

The event is part of a series of activities aimed at Xiangzhou talents. Some professional trainings, innovation and pioneering conferences, job fairs, as well as other events have been organized so far, with more set to take place later in the year.

The event established an effective communication channel among enterprises, universities and talents, helping to build a local talent brand and further boost Xiangzhou’s innovative development.
