Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Some 160 students took part in Xiangzhou's annual summer industry experience day which was held on July 25, giving young people the chance to find out more about what career they might want to choose in the future.

The event has been held for the past 13 years and has attracted more than 1,400 students, giving them the experience of what it be like to work in different industries.

This year, 32 local business also got involved in the event which is jointly organized by the Youth League Committee of Xiangzhou District, Organization Department of the Xiangzhou District Committee of CPC (Communist Party of China) and Xiangzhou Human Resources Center.

Zhang Meiyu, director of the Xiangzhou Human Resources Center, spoke at the event and emphasized that it contributes to the district's policies on fostering new talents.

Some inspiring stories were also shared to encourage students to make good use of the opportunities given to them and to strive to excel in their chosen fields.

At the event, some students got a better idea about their career directions, with some even signing agreements with employers in industries such as social work, law, media, and marketing.
