The men's and women's teachers choirs from Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai, have both taken home gold medals at the Third National Chorus Competition for Teachers, which came to a conclusion on Aug 6.
The five-day event, held in Henan Province, attracted 51 choral teams, composed of more than 2,000 teachers from across 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions.
It's another success for Xiangzhou's choir, after a gold award won at the 13th China (Chengdu) Choir Festival last year. Led by famous conductor Wang Jun, the judges highly praised the men for their powerful harmony singing and the women for their tranquil but penetrating style.
