Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Wanshan Marine Development Experimental Zone signed a contract with Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai, on June 23 to enhance the school system on Wanshan Island.

According to the contract, Xiangzhou District will assume management of the three primary schools and three kindergartens in the experimental zone starting with this year’s fall semester.

Moreover, Xiangzhou will remain in charge of Wanshan’s educational institutions for the next ten years—providing faculty training, personnel management, and other services. Officials from both Wanshan and Xiangzhou believe this change will grant students from the island access to the same, high-level education as those who live in the urban areas of Zhuhai.
