Hongwan Commerce & Logistics Center (formerly Xiangzhou Technology Industrial Park) started construction in December 2001, on an area of 2.75 million square meters. Located in Zhuhai’s Nanping Town, it is a gateway to enter the Hengqin Free Trade Zone.
The center faces Hengqin Island across a river, and lies east of Zhuhai Free Trade Zone and north of Nanping Sci-tech Industrial Park.
With an advantageous location and convenient transportation, the center serves as a regional transportation hub and lays a solid foundation for the development of business logistics. The extension line of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge runs through the center. It is also a five-minute drive away from Gongbei Port and 45-minute drive from Hong Kong. It takes only one and a half hours to drive from the center to the Pearl River Delta region.
The center focuses on the modern service industry such as high-end logistics and has transformed itself into a center of regional technology innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as a base for headquarters economy and incubation.
By the end of 2015, 21 industrial enterprises above designated size had settled in the center. In 2015, the center’s investment in fixed assets was 860 million yuan ($129.2 million) and the total value of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 2.35 billion yuan($352 million).
