Xiangzhou and Hong Kong martial artists gather for cultural exchange

Zhuhai and Hong Kong held a martial arts exchange and performance activity on June 11 in Zhuhai’s Xiangzhou District, as a way to promote local martial arts culture and facilitate extensive mass fitness.
The activity started with a symposium on martial arts culture and saw more than 50 martial arts masters from Xiangzhou and Hong Kong talk about the origins of different schools of martial arts and their development in the future.
More than 30 Hong Kong masters gave martial arts performances from many categories, including Eagle Claw Boxing, Wudang-style Sword, Shaolin-style Boxing, Praying Mantis Boxing, and Taiji Boxing.

Professional martial artists from Zhuhai’s martial arts associations, societies, and local clubs also displayed a wide range of Chinese martial arts in their performances.
Apart from Chinese martial arts, foreign martial arts such as arnis stick and karate were performed, attracting great attention.
A combination of traditional Chinese culture and sports, martial arts strengthen the body and can bring joy to practitioners of all levels.
The event was sponsored by the Hong Kong Martial Arts Coach Society and another 13 martial arts organizations, including the Zhuhai Martial Arts Association, Hong Kong Chinese Martial Arts Dragon and Lion Dance Association, and Zhuhai Shadow Boxing Association.
