An international electric household machinery manufacturer, Gree Electric Appliances Inc of Zhuhai integrates R&D, production, sales and service. The company markets domestic and central air conditioners, air-energy water heaters, cell phones, and daily-use electric appliances including fans, water dispensers, rice cookers, and refrigerators. 

Gree manufactures three brands: Gree, TOSOT and Kinghome. With headquarters in Zhuhai, Gree has production bases in Chongqing, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Shijiazhuang, Wuhu in China as well as in Brazil and Pakistan. Five of the company’s regenerative resource bases are located in Changsha, Zhengzhou, Shijiazhuang, Wuhu and Tianjin cities. It ranks 385th in the Forbes Global Top 2000, and first in domestic electric appliances.

Gree National Key Laboratory 

After its 1989 inception as Zhuhai City Haili Cooling Engineering Co., Ltd, the company was renamed Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai in 1992. Since then, Gree has adhered to independent innovation. It has developed a hundred product types in more than 10 fields including, most of all, industrial robots, intelligent AGVs (automatically guided vehicles), injection molding manipulators, and large-scale automatic line bodies.

At present, Gree is approved to construct “national key laboratories” and operates two national-level technique R&D centers, seven research academies, 52 research institutes and over 520 advanced laboratories. The company has developed 12 international leading technologies such as ultra-low temperature digital variable units, efficient centrifugal chillers, 1HZ low-frequency control technology, and key technologies for variable frequency air conditioners. It has applied for 19,000 patents including some 7,000 invention patents. 

Additionally, Gree has produced products of 20 types, 400 series and over 127,000 specifications, which are sold in 160 countries and regions in the world to over 300 million consumers.
