The official website and social media feeds for the 2018 World Internet of Things Expo went live on July 17 in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province.

Scheduled for Sept 15 to 18, this year's World Internet of Things Expo will include one main summit, one IoT application and production exhibition, 10 high-end forums and 16 series of events. The total number of activities and participants will both exceed those of last year.

The sites will help promote China's leading event for the internet of things industry, including its official Chinese website (wiotexpo.cn) and English website (en.wiotexpo.cn), as well as its official accounts for social media channels including Weibo and WeChat.

The main summit and high-end forums of this year's WIOT will be live broadcast through its official Chinese website. The detailed information of the exhibition and service section will also be available.

All kinds of the new media, such as pictures, videos, aerial photography, new network technologies and interactions will be used to showcase the highlights of the 2018 WIOT and display the rapid development of IoT technologies and applications in Wuxi.

The Wuxi government launched a five-day media tour to promote the achievements of the 2017 WIOT on the same day, which will run from July 16 to 20.

Reporters from national and regional media have been invited to attend the tour, which will focus on displaying the giant strides made by Wuxi's IoT industry stemming from the 2017 WIOT.

The reporters will visit some of the leading players in this rapidly growing industry, including Jiangsu RFID IoT Technology Co, the Intellectual Sports Park of Wuxi and Wuxi National Integrated Circuit (IC) Designing Industrial Park.
