Leading software company to accelerate IoT development in Wuxi

The SAS Institute, the world's leading multinational developer of analytics software based in the United States, signed an agreement on June 20 to carry out strategic cooperation with Wuxi Hi-tech district.
With the development of the internet of things (IoT) industry blooming in Wuxi Hi-tech district, the two sides will work together on the innovative application of China's IoT analysis technology.
Wang Jinjian, director of Wuxi Hi-tech district, and Matthew Doob, president of Asia Pacific for SAS Institute, attended the signing ceremony.
"SAS Institute's new development in the field of internet of things is in line with the direction of Wuxi's industrial development," Wang said. "Wuxi Hi-tech district is glad to be cooperating with SAS Institute to jointly establish a venture company and an innovation center to promote the localization of big data analysis technology."
"It will play an important role in technology research and development in not only Wuxi but also the nation. Wuxi Hi-tech district will provide full support to the project."
Matthew Doob stressed the importance the SAS Institute attached to the cooperation, "We are confident we can provide a full range of technical services in various fields such as smart water and smart grid," he said.
During the past 40 years, the SAS Institute has helped countries and regions including North America, Europe, India and Japan to accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing industries and participate in the construction of smart cities there.
