State-level platform set up to serve IoT industry

Information about the new platform was on show in MIIT's exhibition area at the expo, which also showcased new resources in the IoT industry and exciting new applications of IoT technology.
More than 500 enterprises and organizations from 20 countries and regions exhibited at the WIOT this year, with more than 173,000 visitors browsing the booths during the four-day event.
The host city Wuxi has become one of the biggest hubs for the IoT industry in China since it was named the country's first and only "IoT demonstration area" in 2009.
Wuxi's IoT industry generated combined revenues of 210 billion yuan ($32 billion) in 2016.
