Guilin Liangjiang International Airport

Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is oriented toward a national tourism hub airport. This is the only airport in Guangxi and a rare airport in China in that it is suitable for the takeoff and landing of A380 airplanes. The Guilin Liangjiang International Airport terminal building and station site supporting facilities expansion project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission on November 2, 2013. With a total investment of RMB 3.08 billion, the project is designed to accommodate the expected situations in 2020 such as throughput of 12 million persons/times, cargo & mail throughput of 950,000 tons and flight movements of 10,120,000. Two new parking bays for A380 aircraft or similar models will be constructed, including supporting installments such as airfield lighting. The airfield fire rating will reach grade 9.
