In 2022, the Tianjin Ninghe Ecological and Environmental Bureau insisted on precise and scientific pollution control to promote the continuous improvement of the ecological and environmental quality of the whole region, having already achieved new results.

In terms of air pollution prevention and control, the average annual concentration of PM2.5 in Ninghe district was 35 micrograms per cubic meter, reaching the national second-level standard, with a year-on-year improvement rate of 10.3%. The absolute value and improvement rate of PM2.5 ranked second in Tianjin, and the comprehensive air quality ranked third in Tianjin, all of which hit the record high of Ninghe in 2017.
Meanwhile, in order to continuously improve the quality of the atmospheric environment, Ninghe implemented its "one factory, one policy" control action on 530 gas-related enterprises in the region, depending on the production process and pollution control level of each enterprise. Furthermore, the local government carried out the special action of ozone pollution prevention and control in 2022, and strengthened the emission supervision of key industries.

At the same time, through online monitoring and sampling monitoring, the operation of the equipment and effluent quality of sewage treatment plants were supervised. All the water assessment sections in the region met the required standards, with a year-on-year improvement rate of 9.86%.
