This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Kazakhstan, and China and Uzbekistan. Over the past 30 years, these established friendships have become deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
Tianjin is speeding up the construction of the Luban Workshops in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and plans to put them into use next year. This move will help cultivate more technical and skilled personnel in local areas.
The Kazakhstan Luban Workshop is being jointly built by the Tianjin Vocational Institute and the Kazakhstan Astana Institute of Technology, with a focus on automotive maintenance technology.
The Uzbekistan Luban Workshop is co-founded by Tianjin Maritime College, China and Tashkent State Transport University, Uzbekistan. The workshop will serve as a center of excellence in two major areas - modern logistics management and software technology - in the initial period of the project.
Upon completion, the workshops will help solve employment problems in the two countries, and help reduce costs and increase efficiency for local Chinese-funded enterprises.
